METCOR is pleased to announce that BHP/Billiton Diamond Inc. has awarded its 2007 EKATI mine shotcrete concentrate supply contract to METCRETE SERVICES LIMITED (a joint venture partnership between METCOR and Multicrete a Winnipeg-based shotcrete company). This contract represents the first shotcrete concentrate supply contract that METRCRETE SERVICES LTD. has successfully secured with one of the three diamond mines operating in the Lac De Gras diamond field.
METCRETE SERVICES LTD. has successfully trained and certified 14 Aboriginal shotcrete nozzelpersons, and is in the process of setting up its shotcrete batching plant in Yellowknife, NT, with a view to employing all of its trained personnel in its shotcrete operations, and positioning itself to become the shotcrete supplier of choice for all of the current and future Northwest Territories underground diamond mines.
