Metcon Construction Ltd. has provided civil construction, piping installation and earthmoving services to the mining industry of the NWT since its incorporation in April 2000.
Metcon’s former partner, Tercon Contractors, contributed their expertise from over 25 years of experience providing rock and earth excavation for the international mining industry. This translated into professional project management for all Northern projects awarded to Metcon Construction. As well, Tercon provided skilled training techniques to ensure local residents benefited from these contracts with economic and employment opportunities.
As of August 31st, 2006, MÉTCOR completed the re-purchase of the shares of Tercon Construction. Metcon is now proudly 100% owned by MÉTCOR. We are now seeking northern partners and will be repositioning the company as a fully northern owned and operated consortium of northern-based companies providing construction services for the northern mining industry.
